Captain America The Fighting Avenger #1
I've been waiting for this book for so long that I seemed to have completely missed it on this week's shipping list.
The Fighting Avenger was meant to be a companion series to my beloved Thor The Mighty Avenger with the same sort of sensibilities and charm of that series but when Mighty Avenger was canceled, The Fighting Avenger was put aside and reshuffled. It was downgraded from ongoing to mini-series and from mini-series to one-shot, compiling the two issues that were completed into one giant-sized comic.
Regardless of that fact, I remain excited to read this tale from Atomic Robo writer/co-creator Brian Clevenger and the always delightful Power Pack art team of Gurihiru.
While I get whisked away thinking of what could've been, we do still have one last treat to look forward to from this once hopeful line of comics. Free Comic Book Day will see a Thor/Captain America: The Mighty Fighting Avengers team-up comic by the stellar Thor: TMA creative team of Roger Langridge and Chris Samnee.

Tracie... you'll have to give a quick review or tell me what ya think of this. I'm curious if it was half as good as Thor The Mighty Avenger. I like the cover... I wish I would have looked through the pages.
