To be fair I don't read Captain America, I don't care much for it or the Avengers really, but I thought that Sharon Carter was the one who killed Steve? Also I think this may be a cause to worry, since this could be the books third straight month of being a crossover/tie-in since the revamp.
It was pinned on a brainwashed Sharon, but the killing shot was actually made by Crossbones from a tower across the way.
And I imagine they're trying to draw more interest and attention to the new team by tying it in with Shadowland and pitting them against the Avengers. That or they're trying to make the Thunderbolts feel like more a part of the overall Marvel Universe after being Norman Osborn's attack dogs for so long.
Plus, since they're Luke Cage's team now, it stands to reason the Avengers would become involved and that Luke might use them in the Shadowland conflict he's so involved in.
I still think Marvel isn't quite sure about the title, if it crosses over into that god awful vampire event then I wouldn't become too attached. Frankly I have to question why they are still going this route with the T-bolts, I mean this team has no characters that seem relatable in anyway outside maybe the Ghost. The whole concept of let's take big name villains and make them into a hero team wasn't that good of an idea to begin with and now Man-Thing is a member (no offense to our man Ted, but honestly). Personally a team that actually had members that have a chance to be redeemed would work better.
FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT! :D
ReplyDeleteIt's important to note that this will be Steve Rogers versus the man who assasinated him.
